スペインへ / To Spain - Part 1

先日7月4日から12日まで、スペインへ行ってきました。😎

約3年ぶりのヨーロッパ！😍

とても楽しみではありましたが、いろいろとこれまでにない準備

（新型コロナ対策関係）もたくさんあって、大変でした・・・。😅

I visited Spain from July 4th to 12th after about 3 years no visiting to Europe.😎😍

It was very exciting, but there were many preparation which are concerned

 with COVID-19 before departure...😅

最初に書いておきますが、今回の目的は遊びに行くのではなく、スペインの南に

位置する観光地、マラガで開催されるスペインのユーフォニアム、テューバ協会主催の

大会があって、それにゲスト・アーティストとして参加するために行ってきました。

It was not for only sight seeing.

There was congress of AETYB (Spanish Tuba and Euphonium Association)

 in very popular visiting city Malaga in South of Spain.

And I go there for taking part in that congress as one of guest artist.

AETYB（スペインユーフォニアム・テューバ協会。スペイン語ではAsociación Española

 de Tubas y Bombardinos）の大会は2014年から2年毎に開催され（2020年は

新型コロナウイルス蔓延の影響のため開催されず）、僕自身は2014年の

バルセロナ大会以来の参加となりました。😊

AETYB festival (congress) was started in 2014 and they make such a great

 event in Spain every 2 years (there was not festival in 2020 due to COVID-19).

My participation to this event was 2nd time

 since the first one in Barcelona in 2014.😊

今回の旅は、スペイン入国のための新型コロナ対策のための準備なども

あったのですが、やっぱり心配だったのは、楽器を持っての移動。😗

いろいろと考え迷った末、MBのセミハードケースで機内持ち込みをするつもりで

行きました。ソフトケースで行くことも考えましたが、機内持ち込みを

拒否された場合、ソフトケースで預ける（過去に一度経験あり・・・涙）のは

極力避けたいので、今回はこういう選択を取りました。

結論としては、とてもいい感じで機内持ち込みもでき（行きも帰りも）、

全く問題ありませんでしたよ。😊

路線（飛行機のサイズ）や時期にもよるのでしょうが、次回からはソフトケースで

動くのもありだなぁ、と思いました（現地での楽器を持っての移動が大変でした）。😉

There are many documents (concerned with COVID-19) what I need

 to prepare before my departure, but my worrying point is

 how to travel with my Euphonium.😗

After considered well with some advices by my friends, I decided to

 travel with my Euphonium as carry-on baggage with MB case.

I also considered to travel with gig bag, but I afraid to be refused to

 travel as carry-on baggage in the checkin counter, so I made

 this decision (once I was refused to travel as carry-on baggage

 with gig bag, and I had to give my gig bag instrument to them

 as check-in baggage...).

In the end, I was lucky enough to travel with my Euphonium as carry-on

 baggage during my travels this time, so I felt very happy and satisfied.😊

It depends on airline companies, directions, seasons and airplane sizes,

 but I feel it's possible to travel with gig bang next time.😉

今回の旅は、まず大阪から新幹線で東京へ移動でスタート！

僕はいつもヨーロッパへ行くときには朝早い便に乗っているのですが、

今回は初めて夜出発の便で。

成田空港発だったのですが、最初のミッションは、

なるべく汗をかかないように移動をすること（笑）。😝

自宅の最寄駅まで車で送ってもらえたし、いろいろな協力の下、なるべく汗を

かかないように移動できたと思います（最小限の、ということでね）。

そういう理由で、東京での乗り換えも東京駅ではなく品川駅にして

（なるべく混雑する時間帯を避けたかったので）、

そのまま成田空港へ向かいました。

This trip started with travel to Tokyo from Osaka by train.

I'm used to depart to Europe from Japan in the early morning,

 but I took flight which departs in the evening this time (it was my first time!).

So my first mission was "do not sweat much until

 I arrive to the airport (until I board)".😝

In Summer time, it's a kind of hard mission, but my wife drove me

 to the station, so I did well.

今回は、空港に着いてすぐに、ヨーロッパで使うためのSIMカードを買うためにウロウロ。

思っていたより海外SIMを売っているところが少なくて驚きましたが、

いい感じのものを見つけて無事に購入。これで一安心。😙

ネットでも購入できるのですが、すぐに届くものがなかったため、

今回は出発直前に空港で買うことにしました。

（ネットで調べてみると、「携帯電話のショップでも売っている」と出ていましたが、

いくつかのお店に行って聞いてみるも怪訝な顔をされて

「扱っていませんけど・・・」と冷たく言われました・・・）

After arriving to the airport very smooth, I immediately looked for the shop

 where I can buy SIM card for my iPhone for using my iPhone in the Europe.

It's not many shops where I can buy SIM card for using in Europe,

 but I found good one.😙

We can buy it by online shops, but it takes time to deliver,

 so I needed to buy it in the airport just before my departure.

海外SIMカードは、日本にいるときのように自分の電話が使えるので

（電話は使えません。が、FaceTimeやLINEのようなデータ通話はできます）、

とても便利ですよ（SIMフリーの携帯電話じゃないと使えないので、

使おうとしている人は、その確認をしてくださいね。iPhoneの場合は、

SIMフリーじゃないものでも今は自分でSIMフリーにすることができますよ）。😉

It's very convenient using SIM card because I can use

 my phone as I use it in Japan.

I recommend buying SIM card for your oversea travels.😉

搭乗のチェックインも早めに済ませて、無事に楽器も機内持ち込みが

できることになり、これで二安心（笑）。😚

I checked in my boarding early as usual and I was happy because

 I could travel with my Euphonium as carry-on baggage this time!😚

今回、戦争の関係でロシアの上空が飛べないために、航路が変更となっていて、

ぐるっとロシアの北側を飛びました。😳

このおかげで飛行時間は長くなってしまいますが、仕方がないですよねぇ

（13時間40分。実際には1時間くらい早く着きました）。

行きはFinnAirとのコードシェア便で、まず最初の目的地はHelsinki。

昔からよく使う航路、空港で安心感はあります。

しかし、機内食は思っていたよりシンプル（質素？）で、こういうご時世だからなのかなぁ、と思いました・・・（いろいろと物足りなかった）。😗

I checked in my boarding early as usual and I was happy because

 I could travel with my Euphonium as carry-on baggage this time!😚

My flight (code share with FinnAir) had to change their way to Helsinki

 due to the war. This is for avoiding to fly in the Russian sky.

So our travel time increasing, but no choice.😳

My first flight to Helsinki from Tokyo was good, but foods

 were not enough good as I expected...too bad!!😗
